What a terrific suite in SE Portland, near lots of good restaurants and other fun places and a very residential, funky area. There are only 5 suites and are so well equipped including a kitchen, laundry and lots of space. Highly recommend as a better alternative to hotels or AirBnBs
We love staying at Violet Suites. It’s our go to place when we are in Portland. Amazing rooms and great location. The locked parking is a big bonus too. This trip the only hiccup was that our room didn’t have extra toilet paper stashed anywhere and we used up the partial roll that was there.
Stayed a night in the Ospray suite and it was great. It was bigger than I had expected from the pictures and the kitchen was really nice to have. The bedding was very comfortable and cozy for the night I was there. Everything was very clean as well. I liked that the parking was so secure as well.
We loved our 3 BR/2BA suite. Plenty of room for the active 2.5 & 5.5 year olds and 4 adults. The kids enjoyed the spa tub with colored lights. The adults loved the steam shower, heated bathroom floors & heated towel racks. Everyone appreciated the fireplace, high ceilings, closet space, & noise insulation. The kitchen had all the appliances you might want (except a mixer) and ample flatware, dishes, & all sorts of glasses & coffee mugs. The only things we missed were a few plastic cups & plated for the kids.
We had an excellent stay! Booking was no problem and Kathryn gave us a call right away to check in and assure us she paid attention to our special request. The full kitchen allowed us to make several meals with groceries we were able to DoorDash from Safeway to our location. (Also, you must try pizza and tiramisu from The Focacceria! Amazing.) We felt our vehicle and belongings were very safe with the secured parking and codes required for entry. We would stay here again and are so glad we came across Violet Suites online. While we didn’t get to walk the neighborhood much as I had just had knee surgery, this appeared to be a very walkable area with restaurants, bars and groceries all within a few blocks. We did not see any other guests during our stay and our space was very quiet. Additionally, we stayed in the Osprey Suite and it was incredibly accessible. Due to my recent surgery, I fully appreciated the assistance bars near the toilet and in the shower and the amazing amount of space in the bathroom in general. What a lovely and well laid out room overall! It is designed so well (and the kitchen outfitted so thoroughly) we could see a longer term stay being comfortable here! Anytime we reached out to Kathryn, she responded quickly and kindly. We highly recommend trying Violet Suites PDX for your next Portland stay.
