The McMenamins properties are so fun and unique. Edgefield has a special spot in my heart. I love going in the winter months or shoulder seasons so less crowds, to enjoy the sprawling soaking pools and the chose your own adventure of either relaxing or debauchery. It just feels like you are in a different world, a true escape. Jerry’s Ice House is the heart of Edgefield and the best hidden gem on the property. Be sure not to miss it!

More reviews on GoogleWe love staying here as a staycation. So much to do, the soaking pool is amazing! Make sure to study the map because you can miss alot. If you love old buildings that feel a bit haunted you'll love it here.
The room we booked was spacious and warm with extra blanket. We enjoyed the soaking pool and other amenities. We had a great time wandering the property playing games and exploring the different bars. Dinner at the restaurant on location was a highlight to our evening and a great way to close it out. While we weren't able to book a spa appointment, we know we need to come back another time so that we get the opportunity to enjoy it. Our only regret was that we weren't able to stay longer. Thank you to the hotel staff who were accommodating and answered all of our questions while we were there!
Wonderful location to have a trip. With many things to do. Spa, winery, many bars, pubs and restaurants. Very nice day trip or stay the night. Be advised most Mcmenamins hotels do not have private bathrooms in the rooms. They also are in very old/historic buildings. The building have pretty loud floors and many people explor the hallways looking at art. They also tend to be haunted and have no tvs in the room. But if you want to unplug and unwind be friendly with fokes and have a drink; it's a wonderful place to be.
Edgefield is truly in a league of its own. Their beautifully maintained property and several historical buildings are filled with the fun artistic character that the McMenamins brothers are known for. The main building surrounded with gorgeous gardens is where you'll find most of their hotel rooms, Lucky's Pool Hall/Bar, the gift shop, front desk & Black Rabbit Restaurant. The halls are filled with posters, unique art and historical facts about the poor farm the property was originally developed for. Up the hill a bit you'll find the Blackberry Hall for private events. Just a stonesthrow up a bit more, the distillery bar is where you can order food and drinks then enjoy them around the covered bonfire pits outside. The Power Station Restaurant serves all the McMenamins favorites and upstairs has more hotel rooms for overnight guests. I believe there's a movie theater in this building as well. My favorite part about this is the Ruby Spa pool and Tea House Bar, the soaking pool is the perfect temperature with excellent ambiance night or day. Jerry's Ice house bar is a fun nod to the Grateful Dead legend - this quirky little space is super fun and cozy, complete with a wood burning stove. Their popular golf course is lovely. Their concert venue is my favorite for summer shows, it feels like your in the woods and every seat has a great view. The service is always great here from the hotel front desk to the restaurant staff.
