So glad I found this place! Great prices, quality work. I was impressed with his honesty. I had one jobs that couldn't be done (not a surprise - a brand of shoes that have proprietary sole molds so sadly could not be re-soled) and he made sure the soles of a pair I wanted to have dyed were in good enough shape to last so he wouldn't take money for something that would be a disappointment. He fixed two pairs of orthopedic shoes for my elderly mom (needed Velcro refreshing) which saved us lots of money and made my mom super happy. SUPER fast turnaround which surprised me! The location was easy to get to. In this throw away society we live in this place is a breath of fresh air! Highly recommend.

David, the owner, did a fantastic job. 24hr turnaround. Revamped and revitalized my Jim Green African Rangers from a sorry state to better than new. Highly recommend!

Bought some new heels and the plastic tips were quite squeaky! Portland Shoe Repair handled my shoes quickly as a walk-in no problem and was able to to move on with a great (quieter and safer) pair of heels. Much appreciation for quality of care.

Took in three very well-worn pairs of Doc Martens, and am incredibly pleased and impressed with the repairs that were done. This was my first time ever having to take my boots in for repairs, which I’m certain was fairly obvious, but the owner was super helpful and patient in walking me through everything that was needed regardless. I wish I’d thought to get before photos, since two pairs needed to be re-soled entirely, and the black pair with buckles needed a partial sole repair and zippers/gussets that were falling off. I got the brown pair of boots for $20 from a GoodWill that doesn’t exist anymore, and they were already broken in. I then wore them heavily for close to 16 years before the soles split on me the same day a pipe burst at work and flooded into where I was working. I am a little embarrassed to say I’m emotionally attached to these boots, and am so happy that I’ll get even more years of wear out of them. Everything I needed repaired was done so expertly and with a good turnaround, along with the price being more than fair. There’s a reason there was a line out the door when I went to pick up my last pair of boots today! I can also now confidently tell people needing shoe repairs that I know a guy! Hopefully it’s not for a while yet, but I’ll be back with any future boot repairs that are needed. I’d leave more stars if I could.

Really glad shoe repair still exists in this day and age and that he seems to be doing great business. I got these boots re-heeled and soled and shined up for my bf for Christmas. Was quoted $95 but since it took longer than quoted (2 days instead of 1!!). He took off $10. Great quality and turnaround! Tip your cobbler, keep him in business.
