I had a very unpleasant interaction with the store manager, Aubrey Hunter, who was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily curt. I was made to feel like a nuisance, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. This experience alone would make me hesitant to return. If I were the owner of this business I would be very embarrassed by that behavior and want to know.
The folks at A-Boy Electric & Plumbing in Hollywood, are always so kind, helpful, and friendly. Bill (“the lamp guy”) is an absolute gem; a true genius when it comes to lamp repair, lighting and electrical design. He’s a brilliant problem solver, innovator, and creative thinker who genuinely loves helping people. He’s come up with solutions for countless lamps I’ve brought in and is always generous with his time and ideas. I’m so grateful for people like Bill, and for local businesses like A-Boy, that make our community such a great place.
This place is great. I had hired someone to replace a valve for me, it involved cutting into wall and +$1k labor. Came in to pick up a part, chatting with folks there they were able to diagnose my issue and told me how to fix without cutting through wall. Ended up only needing a $60 part replaced. Will definitely come back when we do work on our house.
Really helpful staff. I was doing a shower installation and needed help understanding how to do the plumbing. The team here got me set up with Pex and Shark Bite connectors. They got me all the tools & materials I needed and were very attentive to my questions. Very thankful for their support and guidance.
All I wanted for Christmas was a working 70s lamp, so I can read all the books and drink all the toddies! I called A-Boy and was thrilled and amazed to learn they can work magic on non-working lamps...AND for a much more reasonable cost than Hippo Hardware and others. One day later, my lamp is working magically and the good folks at A-Boy are to sincerely thank...you guys made my day AND my Christmas. THANK YOU!
