Had a fairly last-minute repair needed on a difficult to reach sensor on a fairly unique old Audi, and Mike got me in and out within a couple of hours in a pinch. Highly recommended, knowledgeable and respectful service. A+.
Michael went out of his way to assist me in replacing my W212's motor/transmission mounts. Genuinely impressed with the kindness, knowledge, and assistance given! I do concur that Syncrohäus is a hidden gem, and I will definitely be coming back in the future!!
If you own a VW and don’t bring it to Mike, you’re making a big mistake. Not only is he exceptionally skilled and educated on VWs but Mike is also honest and passionate about his work. I had originally brought my 88 VW Vanagon to another shop who quoted me a ridiculous amount for a quick fix. After calling around not only did Syncrohaus give me the best quote but Mike was very upfront about how simple of a fix it really was. He also noticed some other small issues that I forgot to mention and was able to fix those as well in record time. The entire time my van was with him, he was updating me on his progress including photos! From now on, I’m not going to anyone but Mike. Thank you! 100/5 stars ⭐️
Syncrohaus Auto Repair and the owner Mike are my absolute top recommendation, especially if you own an Audi or VW.. Mike is an absolute expert and his genuine desire to help is second to none. My 2014 Audi A7 developed a severe coolant leak that led to the engine shutting off with a low oil warning. I was devastated to find the infamous "milkshake coolant/oil mixture" under my oil cap and truly feared my maintenance neglect had ruined my engine. I towed my car to Syncrohaus, and Mike's thorough diagnosis revealed a crack in the PCV valve housing was the actual culprit of the coolant leaking, not the water pump which I thought (and other mechanics had told me). Their team not only fixed the main issue, but performed a leakdown compression test to confirm my engine cylinders were, thankfully, still healthy. Mike took the time to explain things to me during this whole process which I appreciated a ton. The cherry on top is when their team resolved a tricky check engine light that I tried to have other mechanics fix for the longest time! The final cost was more affordable and reasonable than quotes from other shops. My A7 now drives perfectly, and I have complete trust in Syncrohaus. If you need honest, expert, and thorough work on your Audi or VW, this place is the only mechanic you should see.
Great shop with awesome mechanics! If you own a euro vehicle in Portland, this is a shop you can definitely trust. I’ve taken my 2016 Audi S4 and 2014 A4 here for a variety of services—oil, exhaust, rear differential, complete performance tune, and more—they always do an amazing job and at half the rate I've been able to find. It’s clear they really understand these cars and take pride in their work. Their staff is friendly, and the location is super convenient for me.
