I absolutely love Mudville Clay Studio! My kids signed me up for an 8-week course,(would have never thought to do it otherwise) and I have really enjoyed spending time here. Owner is very helpful and kind.A huge thank you to Adra and Lauren, who are such incredible teachers. They kept me motivated and positive even when my pieces flopped, always teaching with so much patience. Studio’s evening hours are a plus. I’m hooked and will continue with open studio hours. Highly recommend for anyone looking to dive into clay!

More reviews on GoogleI've been going to the open studio sessions offered by Mudville for several months now and I absolutely love the place. The studio has gathered a small yet vibrant community of ceramic makers and clay lovers, all across the board in ages. I love being in the space and seeing what others are making. Everyone I've met who works or has worked at Mudville, including Lauren, Stephanie, Adra, Ellie, and Lou, are all extremely wonderful and incredibly helpful as staff members. I'll continue to go to Mudville for as long as I can!
I have been to this studio now a couple times and took a class! I have brought kids here and finished several pieces so I feel I have had a solid experience here to review the place. It is truly great. I would highly recommend the classes, but if you can’t make it to one the open studio time is so fun. Whoever is staffing is always there to help answer questions ( how do I fix this? Is this too wet? If I want to smooth this out how should I do?) I honestly think this is too cheap for the attention you get. Kids love it here. Really hoping for summer camps and for more classes to open up.
I love Mudville! I took a beginner adult wheel class and my instructor Lauren was awesome. I learned good basics in the four week session and have been able to continue in open studio independently. Staff are always there to help if you need advice! They have accommodating class schedules/open studio for people with varying schedules. As a beginner, I’ve been so happy with my work and can’t wait to take more classes. Highly recommend!
Mudville is such a welcoming space. I came in with zero experience and learned so much during the 4 week intro to ceramics class. We did some handbuilding and also spent some time on the wheel. The value for the classes is there in instruction time alone, but they also include open studio time which allowed me to practice what we learned in class. My son and I also took a parent/child class where we made berry bowls. It was a great intro for my son and he was so excited and proud when we picked up our finished bowls. We will definitely be back!
