Courtyard Village at Raleigh Hills is one of my favorite Independent Living communities in Portland. It’s a beautiful, light-filled building with expansive windows overlooking a gorgeous courtyard. The community is tucked just off the main road, which makes it feel quiet, private, and peaceful. Apartments feature full kitchens, barrier-free showers, and optional patios. Because meals are not included in the base rent, the monthly rates tend to stay lower; however, residents do have the option to add meals if they’d like. The food is delicious, and they’re especially known for their wonderful house-made desserts. The community is conveniently located within walking distance of groceries, coffee, and banking. If driving is no longer preferred, residents can take advantage of the community’s transportation services, and there is also ample parking available for personal vehicles. One of the things I really appreciate about Courtyard Village at Raleigh Hills is the staff longevity, which reflects its locally owned leadership. Joanie, the General Manager with tenure, is wonderful, very approachable and genuinely invested in residents and families. The residents themselves are warm, friendly, and welcoming, which creates a very inviting community atmosphere.

Many activities, special events, clubs, etc. to choose from. Husband liked how well staff maintained our apartment. Rooms are larger than other places we looked at. Friendly environment. Can opt-in or out for meals, with good food choices available.

Courtyard Village at Raleigh Hills has exceeded our expectations. It is privately owned and well managed. Not only is it nicely decorated, but it is also beautiful maintained. Some staff members have been here for more than 15 years. The apartments are spacious with full kitchens allowing the opportunity of creating a home cooked meal. The dining room which serves three optional meals provides a pleasant dining experience. But best of all is the atmosphere, with warm, friendly residents and staff members. There are many activities, outings, and transportation. Plus, it is also very affordable! Lori

I’m used to being pretty independent having lived alone a few years; but after a muscle strain decided that having the security of having someone to call in case of emergency and grab bars in strategic places was in my best interest. I looked around at several very nice places. I had two problems with most of them. If my son and family were to be transferred I did not want to be locked into a community. I also have difficult dietary restrictions. Most places couldn’t accommodate my needs. Courtyard Village does not include meals in the month to month rent. I can cook for myself and join the community in the dining room whenever I want. If I should need to follow my family I have that option. Unlike many large places whose owners are across the country and decision making is filled with paperwork and takes a while, here people know you and your family by name. The owners are local and involved. When you walk through the halls people are out doing things in small and large groups. Also, people, both staff and residents tend to have been here a number of years. Should I need more care later, I can hire visiting caregivers. I am surprised and delighted to have found a caring, friendly community close to my family.

Mom is living here. She loves it. Has full kitchen in each room but has a dining hall if you don't want to cook. Food is tasty and they give nice portion. They put new flooring in when someone moves in. Can have pets, so this is a great perk, when someone moves in and doesn't. They ate not stuck with the dander and smells. When moving in and if they haven't done the flooring yet, you can request all laminate in the living room dining area if u have a pet. Lots of activities for residents. Lots of light, Quiet and clean!!!
