I highly recommend them. They went out of the way to service my machine much faster than I expected. Blaine did a great job fixing my machine. I had it at another shop twice and they did not fix the problem so I drove over 4 hours to bring it to Montavilla. It was worth the drive.

I've come here many, many years and have always been satisfied BUT TODAY WAS EXCEPTIONAL! I'm on a limited income and can't afford a new sewing machine or even a newer one. It's old and heavy but the repair man went to my car, picked up my "Good Housekeeping" sewing machine, brought it in, fixed it (a simple bobbin adjustment) and carried it back to my car! No charge. I haven't seen/received such service in years! Thank you!

I can’t recommend them more! I came in to itch hopes and dreams and they accommodated those ambitions, even when I brought the machine(s) back because it wasn’t what I was looking for! They were patient, kind, and understanding. I ended up with EXACTLY what I WAS LOOKING FOR! I have purchased all my machines though them and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you!

Really bummed to be giving a low star review to a small business. I purchased an embroidery machine and “everything I’d need” to make custom patches. Turns out they left out the fact that the machine they were selling me did not come equipped with the digitizing capabilities to actually make these patches with my logo. That’s an additional $1200. My family purchased private session gift cards for me to get some help as every time I used it (even with YouTube) I ended up with more questions than answers- but they never mention that their “private session” hours are something like Tuesdays at 9am before they open, and they’re completely booked up. They also failed to mention that I would have 90 days to return the machine for a full refund- I was told the warranty was one year. I live down the street, my husband and I have been in multiple times to purchase items for our sewing machine and I never thought I’d have to worry about being mislead like this. I take responsibility for not asking more questions. I never thought I’d get Amazon-quality service from this local business. Amazon would’ve probably at least refunded me. If anyone wants a barely used burnette b70 deco and literally everything you need except a digitizing software, I’ll be posting on marketplace and will gladly give you all of the information I have.

I recently decided to learn to sew (very excited) and had purchased a sewing machine and a serger. My serger broke and I found Montavilla sewing online so decided to see if they could repair my machine. When I dropped off I spoke with a very nice gentleman that quickly diagnosed the issue and told me that the parts would be 55.00 and he would not charge labor because it would only take about 30 seconds to repair. They had my machine about 5 weeks and when I went to pick up the price was double that. I spoke with the manager and explained to her what the service guy had already arranged. She was kind and only charged what was originally quoted. I had a couple friends with me and when we left I noticed that one of the employees which I believe to be either a supervisor or manager had walked to the window and was looking at us and laughing with another coworker. The next day I returned to buy some fabric and confronted the employee and asked if she had remembered me from the day before and she said that she remembered us. I told her that I had seen her laughing at us and if my friends or I had done something to offend them I was sorry. She said that she and the coworker were just admiring my car (I guess with laughter). I hoped by confronting her in the future she doesn't walk up the wall of windows to laugh and make fun of paying customers. This is not the 1st time I felt like some of the staff were a little rude and one of my friends has a developmental disability so I really hope she wasn't make fun of him. I do plan to take some beginner sewing classes and truly hope the teachers have a better attitude and I dont have the same negative experience.
