I’m in the process of a primary bathroom and fireplace remodel which includes a variety of tile selections. Porter and Mackenzie have been amazing throughout this process. They are incredibly patient with me as I nervously dip into the design world - giving me a lot of positive feedback as well as gentle constructive redirects when needed. They have no ego in the game so when I say “no…nope…uh-uh...” to their recommendations, we can quickly and efficiently winnow selections. I so appreciate how easy it is to be candid with them! Not only are their prices super competitive, they have literally spent hours with me working on the design of both these spaces. Cannot recommend enough, plus the bonus of giving the small local businesses my support.

Who farted? No really. Did I fart cause why is everyone so rude? I purchased some high-end tile here a few months ago. The planning was simple. Everyone seemed friendly enough. But when I came to pick it up, it was a whole other story. They were rude. They didn't want to help. It was like I was asking for a huge favor for them to even do their job! The tile I ordered is made by Clay Haus, and Clay Haus will only deliver to Surface. So its not like I could pick it up anywhere else. The order was also left incomplete and Surface did not apologize or offer to remedy it and I was sent across town to gather the remaining portion. Poor customer interface. Poor communication. Once they have your money they do not care about the service they provide. I can't help by wonder why I was treated like I farted in an elevator.

I was helped mostly by Desiree, so really this review is for her. The store is great and has a great selection of products, but really it was Desiree that made me want to spend my money here. She listened and then she really went to work problem solving and presenting me with creative and considerate options. She was low pressure, patient, and I walked away feeling confident in the decisions that were made. She was also extremely easy to get in touch with and quick to help during the project. 10/10 Desiree, you are a class act.

What a fun and pleasant experience choosing window treatments at Surface for our new home. Desiree’s experience, smarts, and efficiency all came into play. She was also quite enthusiastic and cheery which made it so fun too. She spent a lot of time with us going over things that we would never even think of. Desiree even brought in the Graber Blind representative, also fabulous so everything was just perfect. The shop is quite nice inside with so many lovely choices. The blinds we chose are a definite highlight in our new place. Desiree was always at the ready to respond to our needs and amazing with timing at getting our blinds installed. Thank you Desiree, you are outstanding!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! When we decided to remodel our Beaverton condo, we were lucky enough to have a neighbor recommend surface. We met Carin and she helped us come up with a great design. She was professional, deeply cares about her customer's and her work. She handled everything from start to finish and always tried to save us money when she could. We did a kitchen and bath remodel with Surface. If you want high quality, personalized service attention to detail and works with any budget, go with Surface. Unfortunately, we had to move to Arizona shortly after the remodel. Our condo sold in one day and we were offered many thousands over asking, no doubt because of the quality of the remodel!
