I would avoid Al Siever Sprinkler Service. He is very expensive. He came out to evaluate our sprinkler system and spent half of the time talking about his vast experience. He accomplished nothing. Changed an hourly rate. Was here 1 1/2 hours and charged me $700. His initial consultation fee was $350. A waste of time and money. Kept boosting about his top of the line equipment. He capped one sprinkler head after my request and charged me $7.50 for the plastic cap where as I could have bought the same cap at Home Depot for 50 cents. I felt taken. I also have Toro products in my system. His has Toro written all over his truck and signage but he does not use Toro at all. When asked why he has it on his truck he said it would be too expensive to change the truck sign. All said and done he gave me a quote for $7500 and when asked when he could start he said that he was not sure. Stay clear of this irrigation service. Consumer beware.

Al Sieviers came in and was very knowledgeable and helped us figure out the different zones and gave us a better understanding of the sprinkler system and how it operates. They upgraded the control unit with a state of art Rain Bird one. Repaired and changed some sprinkler heads and risers. Al thank you for all your help.

Al came to my house and assessed and adjusted, as necessary, about a dozen sprinkler heads. He also replaced one sprinkler head. He took the time to show me how to make adjustments myself. He gave me some very useful information regarding how backflow assemblies work. We discussed possible improvements and upgrades to our sprinkler system, With 44 years of experience in working on residential irrigation systems, he has an immense amount of knowledge. Al isn't cheap, but his knowledge and experience are worth a lot. I believe I got my money's worth from Al. At the moment I do not know how many, if any, of the upgrades/improvements I will decide to proceed with.

Followup: Mr. Sieverts responses to negative reviews are insincere excuses... Believe me, listen to the feedback from the customers.. you'll save yourself a headache...and some money to boot!! Original review: Overpriced and ridiculous overcharging on replacement parts! Beware!!! Should have read the reviews before calling!! The fee just to come out is $345!! (does include first 1 hr of labour) That is not the issue though since I knew that ahead of time. The service technician (Al) was knowledgeable and friendly but after diagnosing the fault on our Rainbird system, a faulty but simple to replace plug-and-play 3 zone control module, that retails on Amazon for $29.40, they charged me $325.00 just for the part alone (1000% markup!!) I was busy with work calls during the service visit and unfortunately discovered the part charge only after payment had been made. Al could have given me the option upfront to buy the part myself but chose not to!! Very unethical in my opinion! I will not do business with them again!!!

Al and son Nick rebuilt my home sprinkler system mid May 2025. Their experience, expertise, transparency, professionalism, credibility, and honesty get 5 stars. And to top it off, both Al and Nick are down-to-earth, wonderful people!
