An Unforgettable First Match at Providence Park! I finally made it to Providence Park for a Portland Timbers game, and the experience was incredible. As a first-timer, the energy in the stadium is unmatched—there truly isn’t a bad seat in the house. Whether you’re a die-hard soccer fan or just looking for a great Portland match-day atmosphere, this is a must-do. The history of the park combined with the chanting of the Timbers Army makes it one of the best venues in MLS. Can’t wait to come back!

Incredible Wild Card Match at Providence Park! Our son’s soccer team from Salem got to walk out with players from both teams for the National Anthem — an unforgettable experience for the kids. The Timbers won 3-1 and are moving on to Round 1 of the playoffs! The atmosphere was electric, the crowd was loud, and Mora’s follow-up goal had the stadium roaring. A perfect family outing and such a special place for young players to see what’s possible! Go Timbers!

Visited Providence Park for A Thorns match. Great ticket prices for being close to the field. Easy to navigate the stadium and find our seats. There was variety in the concession area. Great walkability inside the stadium without congestion especially during halftime. Have to visit for a Timbers match.

I visited Providence Park twice this week, and both experiences were equally excellent! The entire operation runs like clockwork, creating an environment that feels safe, friendly, and efficient. A heads-up for first-timers: Regular-sized bags aren’t allowed in the stadium. All belongings must be in either clear bags or small pouches no larger than 11cm x 20cm. I found this out the hard way and had to use the paid lockers, which cost $15 per visit. Since the app didn’t work with my UK number, a very helpful steward came over to assist. He eventually let us through with my slightly oversized bag, a kind and accommodating gesture that really stood out. The entire staff team was helpful and attentive throughout both visits. The atmosphere at both games was fantastic. Football here feels more family-oriented than in the UK, there were lots of children, women, and even teenie babies wearing ear defenders 💕 As for stadium food, it’s actually quite decent! We had nachos one night and chicken the other, both enjoyable. However, be prepared for steep prices: two cans of beer set us back $32 (with tip). That’s pretty wild! All in all, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend a visit!

Not very organized getting people into the stadium nor getting to your section. The security was really really slow, it took 20 minutes for our line to move 2 feet. Overall it was another hour to get in the stadium. Once we got in it was another fiasco to get into our section as the ticket checker wasn’t not very sure who was going where. Overall a cool stadium but they need to work on organization.
