I tend to feel intimidated at a hardware store because I have no idea where anything is and don't want to look like a ditz. These guys are so helpful and there are always at least two people immediately ready to help. Once they send me to the right part of the store, they follow up a few minutes later if I look idle and confused for too long lol. This is in stark contrast to places like Home Depot where it's impossible to flag someone down and they then bring you to the wrong part of the store only to leave you there to fend for yourself! This is why Mr. Plywood is my go-to place :) Thanks for the help.

More reviews on GoogleI’ve had mostly good experiences here, but my most recent experience has really turned me away. They forged my signature on a timber inspection sign off after a mistake they made and I paid for. It was very uncomfortable and I will not be back. I am a timber framer. I ordered 13 6x6 at 10 feet and 3 at 12 feet at no small cost. When my timber came in I inspected the timber and found they had mixed the order up and ordered 13 at 12 feet and 3 at ten. Instead of having to send it back which I imagine would not have been free for them I offered to pay the difference because I’m really cool and nice, and was willing to redraw some plans for a few feet. Dean was the person I spoke with on the phone. He told me I had already inspected all the timber so it would be delivered on the 23rd . I told him I had only inspected the 6 pieces I knew I would keep and had been waiting to hear back from them on what the mix up was. I told him I would be in to finish the inspection and he was very dodgy. I came in and found everything wrapped and ready for delivery. I had to spend almost two hours of my time unwrapping them and inspecting them. One of which was completely unusable and had to be sent back. During the send back, I found that they had forged my signature on the inspection form. I don’t know why a small business would ever do that. I wish them the best but my patronage ends here.
Went to get some cedar 2x4. They had a pretty good deal on the wood. They also seem to have a decent selection. However, the service that I recieved after 2 visits was less than desirable. I get better customer service at Home Depot, Parr and Milwaukie Lumber. I am glad this is a hometown shop but you would think a sma business would treat you better as a customer. I only plan on returning if I cannot find something at a big box store, Parr or Milwaukie. Really quite sad.
Extremely helpful employees - not in the annoying fake customer service way. Real people with real personalities. The place is clean, straightforward, and has a great range of quality product. I would choose them over a big corp store any day. Plus they have popcorn. Thanks guys!
Great local plywood supplier! Ample staffing that will help you load wood. They also offer $.75 cuts to cut your wood to your measurements. Huge selection of more than just plywood, fencing, and woodworking supplies. Jesse was very nice in helping load the wood and cut it for me!
