The volunteers are very helpful! Your time will go quicker, though, if you can presort your # 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 plastics, straws, styrofoam and electric wires. James Recycling hours vary. I believe they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

I heard about James Recycling through a friend, and was so excited that there’s a place that can recycle all my non-curbside plastics!! The volunteers and staff that work there are always very kind and helpful, and are happy to answer questions. I appreciate that they also have events to make recycling accessible to more people! Great work, James!

I saw a very negative review about this depot and I would like to say that that review is total bunk! The James Recycling depot, as well as all the pop up events they sponsor, are a wonderful service to our communities, our city and the planet. They care enough about the future of the planet to provide this service and offer a place to take plastics for recycling for a small fee. Worth every penny to keep these things out of the landfills and protect the planet that sustains us for future generations. Thank you James Recycling for your endless efforts and for making it easy for the rest of us and thank you to all the volunteers that donate their time and energy to the recycling effort. You can trust this organization. They have been doing this long enough to have established an exemplary reputation.

James Depot does a wonderful job collecting as much non-curbside recyclable plastic as possible. Staff & volunteers are extremely helpful as more and more customers discover the Depot and learn how they can responsibly keep plastic out of the waste stream. The Depot does an excellent job clarifying what can and can't go curbside in the event clients bring in curbside-recyclable items. The Depot further funnels non-compostable styrofoam and electronics to Green Century for processing and recycling. It's really great to see what a difference we can all make with minimal effort!
