We went to great notion specifically for the tacos with a huge group. It was busy so the wait time was a bit long, but well worth the wait! The tacos were amazing! The tortillas were fresh, and everything was amazing. The patio is dog friendly and has plenty of space.
Some of the best beer in Oregon, so that would mean anywhere. Excellent Hazy’s, fruited sours, darks. Awesome atmosphere, great service. Good BBQ food at Matt’s BBQ.
We stopped here for a flight of their sours, but they were actually tart ales, which isn’t exactly what I had expected. It was difficult to find since it seems the only street sign is surrounded by trees. The tart ales were pretty good, but my girlfriend only liked the boo berry muffin and the key lime fluff. The flight was pretty pricey though, $19 for 25oz vs $6-9 for a 16oz pint. It’s a pretty open space with a good number of tables and a pretty large bar. The food was order from a window on one side of the building. The tables are encouraged for online ordering and paying, which I didn’t enjoy. I’d rather order from a real menu with a real person. The drinks were delivered by a bartender though and from what I saw at other tables the food is delivered as well. The speakers, which were covered in cobwebs, were positioned too close to some of the tables, which made some areas really loud and difficult to have a conversation. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it wasn’t good either and I won’t be returning.
Stopped by Great Notion Brewing - Alberta before heading to the airport and WOW, what a treat! 🍺 Both beers were crisp, cold, and super flavorful — exactly what we needed to wrap up our Portland trip. The vibe inside is casual but cool, with friendly staff and just the right energy. Loved the glassware too – cute logo and good pour 😍 Highly recommend this spot whether you’re a beer geek or just looking for a chill spot to hang. We’ll definitely be back next time! It should be illegal to have that delicious of food and beer under 1 roof. Everything tasted amazing, you can't go wrong, good sized portions. Tacos, Mac & cheese, queso and chips. Finished off with the always delicious double blueberry cheesecake sour, which they sell in cans as well in case you want to enjoy it within the comfort of your own home, but if it was me I'de stick around for the laid back atmosphere and constant supply of dogs in the outdoor seating area. 10/10
