Overall it is a nice place. I was sent here because after my 2 month long hospital stay, I didn't really have anywhere else to go. Most of the staff men are very nice and helpful, and you can tell that some of them genuinely care about you and your well-being. I would say that more than 95% of the time there is food and drinks available. Most of the front desk workers are very diligent about putting out snacks if they're available, and there is usually juice available behind the counter if you ask for it, if there isn't any juice then coffee and water is ALWAYS available And for my low star review, unfortunately there are some staff members here that just make you wonder why they would ever get a job in a place like this. I won't say any names because if you stay here I'm sure you'll learn on your own. A very small portion of staff just seems very hateful and annoyed towards the patients that stay here. It baffles me that they subject themselves to an environment like this when there are plenty of other jobs in Portland that don't make you have to deal with sick and recovering people that usually are just getting out of the hospital. And lastly, this place is practically a giant hub for drugs. Lots of patients here are very disrespectful and inconsiderate towards this place because 9 times out of 10 staff is not willing to address the very obvious drug problem that plays out in front of them on a daily basis. People smoke cigarettes, meth, fentanyl, weed, you name it in the hallways and in their rooms. If you are trying to stay away from drugs or you're in recovery, this is not a good place to go. If it's your only option, there are obviously plenty of good things about this place, but it will take lots of willpower to stay away from the drug use here. This is everything in a nutshell after my 90 days or so of staying here. I am very thankful for the resources available here and if you put effort into trying to inquire about the benefits and potential doors that could be opened for you, you will see the results.

My best friend stayed at RCP for 4 weeks and had to be transported to an emergency room. He was taken by ambulance and he couldn't grab his important information or the $2000 in his pants pocket. He was admitted to the hospital. Within 24 hours RCP staff member cleared out his room and took his money. Whoever did this was kind enough to leave $500 in a white envelope of my friends money. The staff member that cleaned out his room is a thief. Its speaks volumes about the type of place they are operating. Within the time my friend was able to retrieve his belongings from RCP, he asked Patrick where the rest of his money was. Patrick did not respond to the issue and when he called to speak with the director, Jordan, he was shrugged off and never received a call back. About a week later, my friend made a report with the Portland police to investigate why this addendee stoled his money. I am very upset with how they wrote off his missing money. When my friend contacted Patrick, he was referred to call Central City Concern Administrative office for more information as to the investigation of the missing money. My friend was told by Patrick that he would forward the message to the administrator office to call my friend and explain the details of this investigation. So far, no call. I wouldn't trust any of the staff at RCP by Central City Concern. The money taken was a payout from social security that my friend waited 3 years to get that pay. He had just cashed his first check a day or two before he was rushed to the hospital. You'd think with all the donations for Central City Concern they could afford to hire decent people as staff. Instead they hire thugs and thieves. Who steals money from a crippled old man? The staff is not trustworthy and neither is Jordan, the director. Its heartbreaking and down right dirty. No stars for RCP from me and I hope if you happen to be placed at RCP, keep your valuables with you at all times! This place can't be trusted!!

I am so very thankful for this program. It allowed me time that I needed to heal. If I needed help the staff was right there for me each and every time. I had been on and off the streets for about 6 years and this was the first solid place that I could call home. Patrick was amazing and assisted me in finding a forever home. He was on the job and coordinated my move to my new place where I signed a year lease. This is my first apartment ever. I am still so humbled by rcp. They really deal with a lot there. Honestly I really didn't want to leave. Alisha gave me several pep talks lifting me up. When I left I was so much better prepared for living on my own. she was always positive and made me feel confident and ready to flee the nest. I consider these people friends and know that if I ever had issues they would be here to help me out. Hands down the best decision I ever made was going through this program. You won't ever be disappointed with rcp they all were amazing. I honestly miss it.

RCP gets houseless people off the streets when they need a place to recover after medical treatment. It’s a lot more than that, though. The people care about other people, even when those people treat them poorly. They provide a multitude of services, including healthcare, housing, and meals, which provide the people in the program to transition out successfully. Sometimes it doesn’t work out, but from what I’ve seen, RCP is there. It’s a lifeline to houseless people. People can be difficult, and although tempers can flare, on both sides, the people working at RCP see you as a person, and not a statistic. They have some of the kindest people working there. Are there things I’d change? Sure, but it’s working. That’s what matters.

Evergreen Crossing is a very well maintained establishment that is run with a very tight lease and restrictions. With that said the staff are very acknowledge able within their own assigned roles. The director Patrick Myers is always available and willing to listen and have a conversation with you. If you’re looking for someone who is down to earth and knows their job duties along with being acknowledge able then you found the right place to come and recuperate and find a true leader and friend in one Alena Bellue. It has handicapped parking and accessibility. With all the different forms of medical conditions that they have coming in and out throughout the place you’d think it was a filthy place but on the contrary it is a very clean environment! CCC only has the janitorial staff to thank for that accomplishment. Now let’s not forget the medical team that takes care of the clients housed there, that is one very well oiled staff there! Bobbi Gari, Moni, and others truly know their fields of expertise plus they always have a smile in ways of greeting. If ever you are in the need to get away and need to just talk well those nurses are always there and willing to listen. No matter where you go on the property you will find that you are mostly alone and you can find yourself at any corner of the property and find peace and tranquility within because there is no drugs being smoked u know that this is a very clean and sober living environment
