I've been coming here for a few years now and with a few different cars (which are all still running well). They diagnose accurately and do the work without messing around with you like many mechanics. They're honest and don't try to convince you that you need a bunch of stuff done that's not necessary.
They work with you and are honest hard working mechanics and excellent service. I bring my own parts and have service with labor only. I don't see any other shop do like this, except them. That's so nice of them. Highly recommended.
No bullshit mechanics. Know their stuff through and through. In the three times I have hop-in-out of the place between 15hr to closing, they have been available for quick diagnostic on-the-fly giving free consultation and even their time to help do simple quick-fix solution(s) as needed for my time-sensitive situation. They work with you and are honest hard working mechanics. Can't ask for anything better in the hood. Highly recommended.
I've gone here a few times in the last couple years with various weird issues on both my car and truck. They have always been very nice, honest, thorough in diagnosing issues, and accommodating. I've tried a few other shops in northeast, and got ridiculous attitudes and estimates. This shop is completely different and have always had very fair repair charges and did a great job. I don't hesitate going there when I have any car problems and recommend them to my friends.
OWNERSHIP HAS CHANGED! Current owners are NOT the reliable and trustworthy mechanics/owners this place had been previously known for. STOP GOING HERE. We have been going to Dan's for decades and realized with our last service, that ownership is now different and UNSAFE! Our last service was done improperly, to the point of severely damaging our brake lines because of improper and sloppy brake pad replacement, that could have seriously caused more damage or even a wreck. We have since taken our car to DANNY'S AUTO REPAIR LLC on 7611 NE Sandy Blvd, after realizing this is the previous owner's new location - GO TO HIM INSTEAD - it is the ORIGINAL DAN'S OWNER. He fixed our brake lines/break pads and remedied the improper service Dan's had previously done. DANNY'S is DAN's (original owner was bought out of building and had to relocate!) - DAN's is now UNRELIABLE AND UNSAFE; do not go back!
