I really appreciated the way Bradshaw's handled a water intrusion issue with my car. They worked with me when I was worried it was still leaking and went above and beyond to help try to dry the car out. John was especially patient and helpful. Would definitely return in the future with any auto repair needs.

I do not recommend this shop. I would take their estimates and their diagnostics with a hard grain of salt. Here’s why: October 31st, Friday: I dropped off my car around 9 am. I received a call later in the day that they needed to re-seal the intake manifold. I don't know about cars and I was given a minimal explanation about why that was a problem. I trusted their judgement and the diagnostic testing because I had one other service completed earlier in the year with them. Since then, my car no longer has the issues. So I'm given an estimate, which I pay off immediately using my debt card. I'm told that the job should be done by the end of the day. So, I wait until almost closing time for the shop, 5 pm, and call around 4:41 pm to let them know that I'm coming for my car. I'm told that my car is not ready, so I ask if I can get the car back. They say no, it's not drivable right now and they need to keep it over the weekend. Also, the shop will be closed for the weekend. So I'm out of a car for the weekend. November 3rd, Monday: I received a call around 2 pm to inform me that the problem was not fixed. My car would need a replacement piece due to a crack. It would take a little time for shipping/delivery, and because my car was an “older” model (2003) it would most likely be a used part. I was estimated $900 for the parts and labor services. I was told it was important to fix this part and my car could not run without it. I signed up for a payment plan and paid the first installment that day. November 10th, Monday: I called once, and they picked up. They informed me that the part arrived in the shop and they installed it. Unfortunately, when they ran tests with the part and it had its own crack. I was upset but kept my cool because I try to stay levelheaded in these situations. I asked about my options. The only option was to order another part and wait some more time. November 18th, Tuesday: I called twice about any updates on my car. I almost screamed in excitement when I heard the part had finally arrived at the shop. I was floored to hear that the second part had holes that did not match up with my cars. I didn't know what to think at this point. I wish I could tell you that the person I was speaking to this entire time had compassion over my situation but that was not the case. He did not care; he was dismissive and responded sarcastically to my concerns. I only needed answers, but I felt like I was being treated like someone incompetent. Was it because I was a woman? My name is on the title and it's my car. There was a lack of communication on their end, until my partner (male) took the phone and had a stern conversation with the guy about the way we were being treated. He accused them of not caring about their customers. They rebounded that “they DO care and they are trying their best to make sure they get the job done as quickly as possible.” Yet I was the person checking in with them every week. There was a lack of accountability on their part for getting the wrong part and having us wait this long to get our car fixed. It was decided by us: if the car wasn't fixed by the 21st then we want it back and a refund. November 21st, Friday: Guy calls me to tell me that “time is up” for them. They could not fix my car. They put the car back together, parked it in front of the shop and asked us to come pick it up. He said it was drivable, but we should be careful with it. He apologized to me, but I could not hear his sincerity beyond my utter disappointment in the situation. I was issued a refund immediately. My partner and I went to retrieve the car. We were handed the keys politely and we walked out without any verbal altercations. There was no energy left for this situation. I wish I could have trusted them, but they are not trustworthy. I got the car fixed with another mechanic. It turns out I needed to get my O rings replaced. At Brads haws, I was given the wrong diagnosis, there was a lack of professionalism at this location, a possibility of overpaying and no respect for customers.

Amazing staff, great customer service, and I'm so very appreciative they were able to diagnose the problem with my car and have it repaired same day. Of course, not always possible depending on parts and labor, but able to do on the fly. Strongly recommend- and can take payments online, which while I'm at work makes it so much easier. Thank you all so much!!

Definitely can trust this shop. Great service and always friendly!! Been using for years and never had any issues. Recently took our car in for something, and they communicated clearly what service they suggested. They even gave options incase we didn’t/couldn’t do the full recommended service. The owner gave an interview on the City Cast Portland podcast awhile ago if you want to go take a listen to how great the owner is

Hell yea Bradshaw! called or emailed several shops around the city to help me with an install of parts I purchased. Not only did they respond quickly, they had my car in shop sooner than I thought! John was extremely helpful along with the entire crew. Really excited to find a shop like this because they didn’t turn down my request. I was more than happy to add more services to my bill and map out the next projects. They even discovered a small leak(provided photos), took care of my tires, and even tightened my short shifter! They got my hedgehog rolling! Looking forward to bringing my business here Thank you so much to the Crew at Hawthorne Bradshaw for damn fine Work and excellent service!
